Meet the Multidisciplinary Team

Writer: Casey McCauleyCasey McCauley

Multidisciplinary teams are an important aspect to A Child’s Place PA Child Advocacy Center. These teams include medical professionals, law enforcement, mental health, prosecution, child protective services, victim advocacy, and other professionals who can discuss methods for best practices in serving the needs of children and providing support to these individuals.

A Child’s Place Staff are on the multidisciplinary teams of Allegheny County, Beaver County, Fayette County, Washington County, and Westmoreland County; counties meet once a month to discuss child abuse or child neglect cases. For taking the time to meet and discuss difficult child abuse cases, we highlight our Allegheny multidisciplinary team as #ChampionsforChildren.
